Health and Social Care Bill

Proceeding contribution from Lord Lansley (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Monday, 31 January 2011. It occurred during Debate on bills on Health and Social Care Bill.
No, not at the moment. The unions, of course, are against this modernisation of our public services. I suspect that they are the ““forces of conservatism”” that, more than a decade ago, the former Prime Minister told us he had to fight against. They oppose the principles of our plans, or so they say, but do they have an alternative? No. That contrasts completely with the reaction of general practitioners and health care professionals in GP pathfinders.
