Moved by That the House do not insist on its amendment, to which the Commons have disagreed for the reason given. Page 2, line 5, at end insert— ““( ) giving cardholders the option of being reimbursed £30 on surrendering their ID cards by such a date and pursuant to such arrangements as the Secretary of State considers appropriate”” The Commons disagreed to the Lords amendment for the following reason— Because it would impose a charge on the public revenue, and the Commons do not offer any further reason, trusting that this reason may be deemed sufficient.
