Daylight Saving Bill

Proceeding contribution from Albert Owen (Labour) in the House of Commons on Friday, 3 December 2010. It occurred during Debate on bills on Daylight Saving Bill.
As a Welsh MP, I am certainly not English-centric. I made the point that we need empirical evidence from all parts of the UK so that we can formulate a proper argument. Indeed, the only data available on energy savings are UK-wide data from the National Grid, but we need to consider whether there are different periods of peak demand within the UK. The hon. Lady is right that the Bill will get those data out into the open.
