As I said earlier, the cost of my hon. Friend's amendment to exempt motor insurance from the IPT rise would reduce revenue by £160 million a year, and exempting medical insurance would decrease revenue by a further £40 million a year. I hope that that is helpful. The increase is necessary. It is an attempt to bring our deficit under control. We need to make some tough decisions, and that is one.
