The right hon. Gentleman has a lot of experience in this area, but there are real problems with the case that he is trying to make in regard to size per se. The biggest police force in the country certainly has a lot of problems that other police forces—even those in other urban areas—do not have. It also has some pretty poor performance indicators, compared with other police forces. So bigger does mean more beautiful.
