Bribery Bill [HL]

Proceeding contribution from Lord Henley (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 13 January 2010. It occurred during Debate on bills and Committee proceeding on Bribery Bill [HL].
I thank the noble Lord for amending his words and thus, as it were, deleting "hope" from his previous remarks. All I can say at this stage is that we have had a pretty full debate on the matter with a large number of eminent speakers, many of whom have considerable experience both of government and of the law. It is certainly something that we will want to come back to in the brighter light of the Chamber, if I may put it that way, rather than the gloom and obscurity of the Moses Room. No doubt we will have a fuller debate on this matter at that stage. In the mean time, I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment 21 withdrawn. Amendment 22 Moved by
