As all this slicing is going on, how does the hon. Gentleman slice the opinions of the right hon. and learned Member for Rushcliffe (Mr. Clarke)? He has been pretty consistent. Does he not have a voice in the modern Conservative party? Where have all the pro-European liberal Tories gone? Is that species now extinct?
