European Affairs

I am pleased to tell the Minister that I was a Member of the European Parliament for five years, and that I was deputy leader of the British MEPs and a deputy co-ordinator of the European People's party. I should be interested to learn whether the Minister's take on it is any different from mine. I am very happy to welcome our new group. It is not isolated; it is at the very heart of the decision-making process, as Mr. Harbour's appointment has demonstrated.
