Equality Bill

Proceeding contribution from Philip Davies (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 2 December 2009. It occurred during Debate on bills on Equality Bill.
I admire the sense of humour that the hon. Lady has shown in asking the Equality and Human Rights to take up cases of this kind. The commission itself pays men more than women, white people more than members of ethic minorities and non-disabled people more than disabled people, and its performance this year in respect of the last two categories has been worse than its performance last year. Is it not ludicrous that an organisation that cannot even do things properly itself should take up such cases—or does the hon. Lady expect it to take up cases against itself?
