Financial Services Bill

Proceeding contribution from Andrew Smith (Labour) in the House of Commons on Monday, 30 November 2009. It occurred during Debate on bills on Financial Services Bill.
Instead of focusing on substance, the hon. Gentleman seems to be obsessed with architecture. Does he support the idea of giving the Financial Services Authority an enhanced power to intervene when contracts and incentives encourage irresponsible and destabilising behaviour? Is that not the sort of regulation we need to avoid a repetition of the recent crisis?
