I would not dispute what are clearly the facts. My concern is that the hon. Gentleman—the right hon. Gentleman—is proposing that supervision and regulation should go back to the Bank of England. I saw no evidence that more warnings came from the Bank about the crisis that was brewing than came from the FSA.
