Flooding (Cumbria)

Proceeding contribution from Lord Cormack (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Monday, 23 November 2009. It occurred during Ministerial statement on Flooding (Cumbria).
Does the Secretary of State accept that many of the tourists who go to Cockermouth are lovers of Wordsworth's poetry who go to see his birthplace, which is a tourist magnet in that part of the world? Can the Secretary of State assure the House that the National Trust will be given every necessary help to ensure that that birthplace and wonderful historic house is restored?
