If it is really necessary for my noble friend, may I quote from my noble friend Lady Verma? She said in Committee that, ""increased choice in examination qualifications will help to drive up standards in schools. The schools which offer these diverse exam choices know that their parents have an option about where they send their children".—[Official Report, 19/10/09; col. 460.]"
