Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Bill [Lords]

Given my long-standing interest in the whole issue of sustainability, and the length of time I have sat here hoping for an opportunity to speak to the amendments, I want to impress on my right hon. Friend the importance of putting a definition of sustainable growth in the Bill—an explicit reference to make sure that the regional strategies that the Government are now introducing include—
