Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Bill

We have had another interesting debate. Many of the points were made in Committee, but I am none the less sure that hon. Members were sincere in their requests. The provisions in the Bill to set up Ofqual and the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency are central to our ambitious programme of education reform. They are part of ensuring that we deliver two things successfully. One is high-quality assessments and qualifications that enable all children and young people to gain the knowledge, understanding and skills that they need to play a full and active part in the economy and society. The other is adults who have, and can continue to develop, the skills that they need to succeed in the workplace.
