Autism Bill

Proceeding contribution from Justine Greening (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Friday, 27 February 2009. It occurred during Debate on bills on Autism Bill.
First, like many Members, I wish to congratulate my hon. Friend the Member for Chesham and Amersham (Mrs. Gillan) on introducing the Bill. Does the hon. Member for Burton (Mrs. Dean) not agree that the issue is far broader than she has described and that it involves not only social services, but other Government organisations such as Jobcentre Plus, which often provides advice on job opportunities, and that this Bill is needed in order to start a much broader debate about support for people with autism, particularly young adults?
