Mutual Societies (Transfers) Order 2009

I thank the Minister for introducing the order. Given that there will have to be shareholder approval before any transfer, we do not object to the order. A number of points were raised in another place, but I shall not waste the time of the Committee by repeating them. They were, on the whole, dealt with by the Minister. However, it would be nice if he could tell the Committee when the order relating to industrial and provident societies will come into effect.
