Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill [Lords]

To exaggerate a problem is still to identify that a problem exists, and I do not think that it was intended that the Bill would generate such a problem. Hon. Members may think that amendment No. 41 is more comprehensive than amendment No. 49, which I tabled, but my amendment would put the Bill back on track. The amendment would mean that the Bill would do what hon. Members, whether they support or oppose it, thought that it actually did.
