Employment Bill [Lords]

Proceeding contribution from Pat McFadden (Labour) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 4 November 2008. It occurred during Debate on bills on Employment Bill [Lords].
That is not a decision for me. That would be how the law would apply if somebody took up a complaint that was thought to be strong enough to merit that. In conclusion, I am aware of some of the representations that have been made. We are always happy to look into these things, but I am afraid that I cannot accept the new clauses. My hon. Friend the Member for Hayes and Harlington has said that he wants to press one of them to a vote, but I am afraid that I shall have to ask colleagues to oppose it.
