A UK-born woman marries a man from Pakistan. He comes here for two years and a day, gets indefinite leave to remain, divorces her, goes back to Pakistan and brings in another wife. We do not say to him, ““You've divorced your UK-born wife, even though you've been here more than two years. Get out of here and stay out.”” We ought to.
