Immigration Controls

Proceeding contribution from Stephen Pound (Labour) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 21 October 2008. It occurred during Opposition day on Immigration Controls.
It is an honour and a pleasure to follow the right hon. Member for Maidstone and The Weald (Miss Widdecombe), and I do not mean to cause offence, so I hope she will not mind too much if I say that Poland is not in eastern Europe. This is not as difficult as the difference between Kentish men and men of Kent; a brief examination of an atlas will show that Poland is in fact at the heart of Europe.
