My Lords, I beg to move that this Bill do now pass. I draw your Lordships’ attention to the pronouncement in the High Court that the current immigration policy of denying visas is unlawful and needs urgent revisiting. In the light of that, I hope that Her Majesty’s Government will now support the Bill.
