I can indeed give the hon. Gentleman that reassurance. We had a number of productive debates in the Public Bill Committee on the issue. It is not in the Government's interest—and it is certainly not in CLRL's interest—to force the compulsory sale of land that is not going to be used either temporarily or permanently for the construction of Crossrail. I assure him that the transparency measures in the Bill will ensure that that happens.
