I support what my hon. Friend the Member for Wellingborough (Mr. Bone) and my right hon. Friend the Member for Wokingham (Mr. Redwood) have said. I was a member of the Committee and, with the exception of the first session, I attended throughout. One of the most remarkable things that I noticed about the Committee was that the only speeches came from the Opposition, with the exception of the debate on the 42 days. For the rest of the time, the Labour Members did their correspondence and said barely a word. In other words, they played no part in the scrutiny of the Bill, and that is a scandal
