Dormant Bank and Building Society Accounts Bill [HL]

I am grateful to the Minister for helping to clarify the Government’s thinking on this. I am interested to hear that the intention is that the expenditure should be distributed on a fair and equitable basis. My slight concern remains that the Government’s definition of ““fair and equitable”” seems to be based simply on population. That is an understandable definition of ““equitable”” but does not necessarily go as far as I would wish. However, for today, I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn.
