Dormant Bank and Building Society Accounts Bill [HL]

This raises the question of how the reclaim fund invests the money. Potentially, it could be required to pay out significantly more than it receives—for example, the five shillings and eleven pence of my noble friend Lord Shutt could be worth £20 or £30, whatever it is. Presumably the reclaim fund will have to invest its money to best effect for it to be capable of paying back to the banks any amounts that are required to be paid.
