Greater London Authority Bill

That means 520,000 people. But the amendment says, "““10 per cent of the number of electors who voted for the Mayor””." I should have thought that 10 per cent of those who voted for the Mayor comes to only a few thousand. In other words, a handful of people in London with a petition would be able to remove the elected Mayor. Surely that is not what the noble Baroness intends; perhaps she would like to modify her amendment before it is debated further.
