The hon. Gentleman rightly paid tribute to Eric Williams’s work as an historian. Will he join me in paying tribute to that very great historian, CLR James, who in 1938 wrote the famous book about the slave uprising in Haiti called, appropriately, ““The Black Jacobins””?
