We were just probing. The Minister rightly makes the point that there are difficult balances between the interests of taxpayers and the fairness of the system. I was grateful that, in his reply, the Minister acknowledged that there canbe circumstances in which families are affected unsatisfactorily and I urge him, in the annual review of these processes, which he mentioned, to take account of the impact of the deductions.
For the record, I should add that I moved Amendment 103B and spoke to Amendment No. 104A, but I did not get on to Amendment No. 103C, although the Minister's reply started by referring to it. I should like the opportunity to address that at some point when we have concluded the debate on those two amendments. I apologise for not referring to Amendment No. 104A earlier.
