I hope that the hon. Member for Meriden will use this debate to clarify her party’s position. I also hope that she will not only support the Barker proposals to build an extra 200,000 homes a year, which will have a significant impact on affordability, but back the position that the Leader of the Opposition expressed earlier this year when he said:"““the failure to provide an adequate number of new homes in Britain has contributed to the affordability problem…This situation is bananas.””"
