Debate on the Address

Proceeding contribution from Nigel Evans (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 15 November 2006. It occurred during Queen's speech debate on Debate on the Address.

Gentleman accept that the Government will have a responsibility for keeping the public on-side on environmental issues and that any taxation tools that are used must not be a smokescreen for stealth taxes, but be for a purpose, which is to ensure that we do what we can to tackle global warming?
