UK-US Extradition Treaty

I want to make progress. I turn to the Extradition Act 2003. In fact, the Government’s willingness to give to the United States special privileges under that Act that required no treaty at all with the US; it was merely a gratuitous act by this Parliament. [Interruption.] If the Leader of the House looks at what happened, he will see that in fact, we abstained on the order. [Interruption.] We abstained and expressed our misgivings, which were—[Interruption.] If the Leader of the House wants to intervene, I will give way to him.
