Given the significance of what my hon. Friend, my hon. Friend the Member for Christchurch (Mr. Chope) and I have said, would my hon. Friend be as astonished as I would be to discover that the Bill’s promoter and sponsors would not support that amendment in a vote? However, to fail to do so would undermine the whole information and transparency system.
