Pensions Reform

Plaid Cymru and the Scottish National party welcome the improvements to the position of women and the restoration of the link with earnings, but we regret that that is at the cost of establishing a citizen’s pension, which is our favoured route. Will continuing with the means test not guarantee that a proportion—albeit small—of pensioners will remain in poverty, particularly in Scotland and Wales?
