Actually, what the right hon. and learned Gentleman said was entirely in line with the new clause that we shall discuss in this group, which my hon. Friend the Member for Cambridge (David Howarth) and I tabled and which I believe the hon. Gentleman has set his mind against. It is no good him saying that his right hon. and learned Friend has made an important point if he disagrees with the fundamentals of it when it comes to a vote.
