The noble Lord said: My Lords, I was wondering whether we might have an extensive debate on the definition of ““casual vacancies””, but I hope that the House will accept that this is a small but useful technical drafting improvement. It was proposed by the noble Baroness, Lady Noakes, in Grand Committee and, on reflection, we have seen the light and its merits. I beg to move.
