Had he given that explanation at Grand Committee, I would not have tabled the amendments at this stage. As the noble Lord knows, I am a fighter against waste in government and I was seeking to avoid the DTI creating a new department of auditor resignations, replete with staff at all grades, ready with their filing systems and processes to take lots of reports. In the light of the Minister’s explanation, I am satisfied on that point and I shall not move the amendment.
