My Lords, I am very grateful to the noble Viscount for giving way. The fact is that for a lot of shares you have no option. If you hold your share through an ISA or a PEP, you have to hold it through a nominee. You cannot own the share directly. That is not permitted under the regulations. It has to go through a nominee, so you have no option.
