My noble friend Lord Howe said that he could understand the reason for Clause 6. As the Bill originally stood, there were to be some areas where you could smoke and some where you could not. Therefore I agree that it would make eminently good sense if you had very clear signage in the non-smoking areas. Can the Minister tell us to what extent Clause 6 has changed in the process of the Bill being changed, or is it effectively the same clause as originally tabled in another place? If it is the latter, there is ample justification for my noble friend’s argument.
