My Lords, I will need to discuss this with bodies such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants, because the Minister will realise that the auditors had placed much reliance on the protections that would be available to them under this clause and that now seems illusory for precisely the kind of company where it is most likely to be a problem. I had hoped that the Minister would say that he would go away and think about how the issue could be dealt with in this Bill, but I do not think that I heard that from him—unless he wishes to correct me.
