I thank the Minister for his reply. I am of course aware that the Government have been consulting on many aspects of the Bill, but not every response has been incorporated into it. I give as an example the concerns of noble Lords about the various exemptions for regulated activity in relation to vulnerable adults under, I believe, Clause 14. Various noble Lords sought to remove some of the exemption categories. Those exemptions have been responded to by the many organisations which have come forward and asked us to remove them from the Bill. So consultations do not always take into account people’s concerns. This regulation-making power does not affect only the automatic bar provisions but also the scope of regulated activity, as I said in my earlier presentation.
I shall read carefully what the Minister has said and consult further about this aspect of the Bill. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment.
Amendment, by leave, withdrawn.
