: I agree entirely. There was a golden opportunity in the timetable for the Government to demonstrate their commitment to rail services by building in those services. However, the fact of the matter is that we have gone backwards in terms of the services that Wessex Trains provides, for example. Train services are not fit for purpose, and they will not meet the needs of local communities. We know the result: people will go back on to the roads, increasing traffic congestion and CO2 emissions, and the train service will not be improved.
