Health Bill

Proceeding contribution from Lord Naseby (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Thursday, 20 April 2006. It occurred during Debate on bills and Committee proceeding on Health Bill.
The Minister said that the vote on membership clubs in the House of Commons reflected public opinion. Does he have evidence of that? He will recall that there are something like 10 million members of private members’ clubs. I am not competent to say what consultation was done with them. Maybe the Government have done some, or have access to a government survey of the membership of members’ clubs which would reflect that. Perhaps he could clarify that statement.
