As the person who invented the supplementary vote system over Christmas one year, perhaps I can explain that the reason there were difficulties was because the ballot paper was designed incorrectly. In advance, we advised that there was a problem with the way in which the ballot paper was produced. The next time that the system is used, I hope that advice given prior to the election is taken.
