Company Law Bill [HL]

moved Amendment No. A131A:"Page 293, line 19, at end insert ““within three days following the date of notification in accordance with subsection (1) above””" The noble Lord said: Under Section 211(3) of the Companies Act 1985 a company had to note on its register that a person had ceased to be a party to what will now be an agreement under Clause 613—““share acquisition agreements””—within three days. The Bill currently makes no provision for this time limit; the amendment merely seeks to reinstate the time limit in the 1985 Act. It is surely desirable for companies’ registers to be as up to date and accurate as possible. I beg to move.
