One can understand the benefits for families of having endless flexibility, but there has to be a balance with the needs of employers. The sort of arrangements that she proposed would be quite difficult for employers, particularly smaller employers, to cope with. We are agreed about the benefits of the arrangements, but it is the practical balance that we are trying to strike. That is where the difference between us lies.
