I know that it is not the correct planning term, but when I was on a planning committee, there used to be something that we called ““tandem development””. There was an intention in the original planning development, which was met, but subsequently guidance comes in that is completely contrary to that. I accept the cost argument, but I wish that local authorities would be more robust in arguing the case. Does the hon. Gentleman agree?
