I endorse this group of amendments, to which my name has been added. It would be useful to understand fully the policy reasons behind the extension of the categories of connected persons, in particular because I can envisage this extension being something which will be very difficult, if not in some cases impossible, actually to implement. It must be based on an assumption of a normal family relationship where you get on with your parents and you know what they are up to; similarly with your children. But regrettably that is not always the case. It is all very well to extend the series of connected persons, but the connectivity, physically or emotionally, may in practice simply not be there.
