The noble Lord said: In moving Amendment No. 240, I shall speak also to Amendments Nos. 241 to 244. These amendments are all probing in nature and relate to the definition in Clause 232 of what is meant by references to ““members of a director’s family””. I shall not speak to the amendments individually because the Minister will appreciate that we are testing why we should include certain members of a director’s family such as adult children and parents, and we are not quite clear about partners ““in an enduring family relationship””.
I have to say that the UK share association would add siblings to the list. Taken together, perhaps these amendments look rather like a rag-bag, but that would be unfair. However, this is a long list of definitions of who comprises a director’s family. If there is some rationale, it would be much appreciated. I beg to move.
