Company Law Reform Bill

I should like the Minister to clarify further. What he says is no doubt accurate, but if we seek to make the law accessible to a director looking through a companies Act, while his explanation may hold water legally, you would have to be a very experienced director to pick it out of the envisaged wording. He may have a protection, but it is not clear. It would be very helpful for directors to have that set out more explicitly in the Bill, even if the Minister is correct in saying that the Bill provides the protection in any case. It would make the issue much clearer for people who do not work in company law every day.
